Effective Use of Geotechnical Investigation Reports in Permafrost Prediction

The XII scientific conference on future of the engineering surveying in construction in the Russian Federation was held on December 7-9, 2016 at the St. Petersburg Mining University. Co-chairs of the conference organizing committee were Oleg Betin (Deputy Minister of Construction Industry, Housing and Utilities Sector), Igor Albin (Vice-Governor of St. Petersburg), Vladimir Litvinenko (Rector of St. Petersburg Mining University), Mikhail Bogdanov (President of the Coordinating council of Russian Geotechnical Association).

Simmakers leading mathematician gave a presentation on the topic “Effective Use of Geotechnical Investigation Reports in Permafrost Prediction” during the Geotechnical Maintenance of Building in Permafrost Zone Section. In his presentation, Yuri Romanovsky reported on entering the raw data, obtained from geotechnical investigation reports, into the Frost 3D Universal software package.
