Customer: ParadigmEnergy (USA)

MEMS

Project: FEM Normal Mode Analysis of MEMS device.

Tasks:

(1) obtain the normal modes of mechanical oscillation and their frequencies.

(2) consider the dynamic response to non-uniform spatially distributed, time-dynamic loading.

(3) estimate in which modes would be excited by an impulse applied at the corner of the device.

Execution period: 02.10.2009-16.10.2009

CFD batching process

Customer: Enersave Fluid Mixers Inc. (USA)

Project: CFD batching model.

Description: Create CFD finite element model of mixing solids and fluid in 2 million gallons tank.

Feedback, Jeffrey Mada: “Very professional. Excellent work. Also, there understanding of the clients timeline was very appreciative.”

Execution period: 28.09.2009-18.12.2009

Discriminant analysis software with Mahalanobis distance

Project: Discriminant analysis software.

Description: Discriminant analysis, where as a discriminant function is used Mahalanobis distance. The usage of special inversion algorithms of covariance matrix allows for the software to classify such data which is not possible to be classified by MATLAB’s classify function (this data includes strongly mutually correlated variables).

Execution period: 15.01.2010-15.02.2010

Customer: University of East Anglia, UK.

Discriminant analysis software with Mahalanobis distance

Project: Facial emotion recognition

Project task: Using MatLab script, develop an educational tool for facial emotion recognition. The software should recognize 7 basic emotions: Neutral, Anger, Fear, Sadness, Happiness, Disgusted, Surprised.

Description: In the program implemented:

(1) Graphical data reading, image processing, face detection on the complex background

(2) Principal component analysis

(3) Emotion recognition using classifier based on Fisher linear discriminant analysis

Execution period: 12.02.2010-22.03.2010
